FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions about the software, answered simply.

A quick overview of pricing, setup, tenants, and how the booking flow works.

Platform & tenants

  • Is this my rental website, or a software site?
Friendly Rental Software is the software platform. Each rental business that signs up gets its own website, admin, and booking flow.
  • Can I run more than one rental brand?
Yes. The platform is multi-tenant. You can create separate businesses with different domains, inventory, and branding.
  • Who owns the data?
Each business owns its customer and booking data. The platform just keeps it organized and secure.

Setup & support

  • How long does setup take?
Most rental businesses can be taking online requests within a day after adding inventory and basic policies.
  • Do you help import my existing data?
Basic imports are supported (customers, items). For more complex needs, you can reach out to support for options.
  • What kind of support is included?
Email support for setup questions, configuration, and “how do I…” scenarios while you learn the system.
BOOKING & PAYMENTS

How the online booking flow works

Tenants can choose how far they go: from simple quote requests to full checkout with deposits and card payments.

Step 1 — Customer picks a date

The public site shows a date selector and category list. Behind the scenes, inventory rules make sure you don’t overbook items.

Step 2 — They choose their rentals

Customers add bounce houses, tents, tables, and more to a cart and see an estimated total before submitting.

Step 3 — Deposit or quote

Tenants can require a deposit via Stripe or accept “quote only” requests first — or mix both depending on category.

Step 4 — Back-office tracking

The tenant sees every booking in the dashboard with customer details, event address, and payment status.
